Replacing Manufactured Homes in the Flowing Wells Neighborhood

Pima County I’M HOME, managed by Family Housing Resources, is a new program to replace outdated manufactured homes in the Flowing Wells Neighborhood.  I’M HOME stands for “Innovations in Manufactured Homes.” The Corporation for Enterprise Development has awarded grant funds to create this model program. The goals of PIMA COUNTY I’M HOME are to:

 :: Replace aging manufactured houses with new homes meeting current codes.
 :: Improve housing quality and neighborhood appearance in Flowing Wells.
 :: Build residents’ financial knowledge and assets.
:: Promote manufactured housing as an affordable housing option.

Qualification Criteria

 :: My home is outdated and in substandard condition
 :: I live in the home
 :: I reside in the Flowing Wells Neighborhood or in Ward III
:: I am the owner of record on the land and the mobile home
:: I am willing and able to provide earnest money and assume a mortgage for the new home
:: My annual income does not exceed the income displayed on the chart below:

Services Provided

 :: Assessment of your ability to finance a replacement home
 :: Credit counseling, homeowner education classes, and other support
 :: Linkage to a lender who will provide you with a mortgage loan
:: Coordination in removing your old home and installing your new home, temporary move-out, lodging and move-in costs
:: Up to $30,000 in financial assistance secured by a forgivable lien

Payments can be as low as $500 a month!  For example:

A $60,000 loan at a 30-year fixed rate mortgage at 7% equals a payment of approximately $500 per month including taxes and insurance.


Replacement Home

Anderson Manufactured Homes will offer approved applicants a new double-wide Cavco Manufactured Home from several available packages. These Energy Star efficient homes include: double glazed windows, air conditioner rated at 13 SEER, and R-19, R-22, and R-40 insulation in the interior walls, floor and roof, respectively. Other amenities include frost-free refrigerator, dishwasher, disposal, built-in microwave, taped and textured drywall interiors, and upgraded carpeting qnd padding. I’M HOME services also include removal of the old unit, delivery and installation of the new unit on a permanent foundation, custom built front and rear permanent entrance steps and an aluminum carport.

Application Process

Contact FHR for an application packet.  FHR will review each application and obtain the applicant’s credit report to determine the financial ability to obtain a replacement home.
