Family Housing Resources offers Homebuyer Education Classes for those
interested in purchasing a home. These comprehensive classes are primarily
geared for the first-time homebuyer, but you do not have to be one to
enroll in the workshop. In fact, FHR encourages all current or potential
homebuyers to attend if they have questions about any part of the homebuying
process.
In general, the workshop is free of charge (fees are charged in conjunction
with homebuyer assistance programs). The class is eight hours in length,
which is a minimum requirement for HUD approved agencies. Classes are informative and interactive and will
help you answer many questions!
For
class times and locations, contact FHR at (520) 318-0993.
Class
topics include:
:: The
advantages and disadvantages to renting versus owning

This
is what homebuyers have to say about our class:
I feel a lot more confident about what I am doing.
I liked the objective insight, not information from a sales
representative.
The handouts to take home are very helpful.
This class made the homebuying process less scary.
I enjoyed the guest speakers and real life examples.
The instructor was very knowledgeable."
